Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina was able to follow it up, with a silver-medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in the year 2011 and the title of 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by TKO during the 2nd round, and went on to win her 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing after which she took a lengthy absence of MMA. She returned in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa in an unanimous decision. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina bounced back from the loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her next 3 fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. In the past, Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos in a fight with.
