Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actor. She is known for her role in TV series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has proven her acting versatility by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was in 2005 due to the role of Anna which was featured as part of Assault on Precinct 13 The film was primarily for her portrayal of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer from the documentary film All the Way, which earned her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series to a third season. Hind has recently completed filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is scheduled to be released in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj, an Army Scientist who passed away on the 18th of March 2017. She and her mother Vrinda are both homemakers. Aditya is her brother, and is an engineer in the merchant navy. Bachchan's older brother and his mother were co-producers of Dil Ka Rishta. The family moved to Mumbai, where she was a student at Arya Vidya Mandir. Jai Hind College in Mumbai was where she completed the intermediate portion of her schooling for one year. After that, she was admitted to D.G. Ruparel College Matunga was where she earned a score of 90% on her H.S.C. exams. As a teenager, she spent five years learning classical music and dancing. Zoology was one of her subjects. Bachchan was a student of Architecture when she won the title of Miss World. It was a title that brought her into the fast lane of modeling. Her contract was lucrative in the form of Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc. as well as the L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. The two first films of her professional career included Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya as well as Iruvar. Bachchan turned into the face of New Bollywood with these films which defied the basic Bollywood model of organization. In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star and the daughter of Bollywood legendary Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage which brought together two of India's most powerful personalities.
