Ky-Mani teamed up with Praswell, (Fugees), to cover Eddy Grant's hit song "Electric Avenue". The star's power was evident when Ky-Mani performed on the Midem stage at Miami in the year 2000, where the annual international show was performed for the first times. Ky-Mani played a rousing set to the crowd at the Cameo Theatre that was full to the brim. Live broadcasts were made via CANA (Caribbean News Agency) and was broadcast to over the 36 nations. Ky-mani is working to record his sixth album. It will highlight his personal growth as well as highlight the duality of his personalities Ky-mani as well as Maestro. This is an urban-inspired sound which has its roots in hip-hop and reggae. The album is expected to offer a refreshing departure from the typical artificial pop styles that are associated with this category, and instead represent authentic urban reggae and hip-hop combination. New single "New Heights" has been released on March 3rd of 2011.
